The Team was busy on Wednesday. They started out with a time of prayer and communion - the best way to start the day. They traveled to a town about 1 hour outside Vitoria. They set up in a town square that really was a post card setting. As you see it was one of the best locations to date. We had around 100 people, from locals to tourists stopping to watch the dramas and listen to the message. The devil being the devil never lets
up. Just when we got to the point of the altar call and inviting people to say a prayer of salvation, the generator we were using for our sound system stopped. We tried to shout but it didn't seem right. So the team pulled out a boom box, performed Liar Land, a drama that speaks of God's love, and we repeated the altar call message. This time we had two interpreters. One translating into Spanish and another one to actually shout the message out loud in Spanish. I have had many interpreters but never one just to shout. As we stood and watched the crowd during this altar call we could see a number of people repeating the prayer. As you looked at their faces you could tell it was a born again moment in their life. One man was especially interesting as he repeated the prayer with such intensity. It was very cool. Afterwards the local pastor talked to each person and invited them to his church.
It was a great day for the Kingdom of God.
These pictures gives you the view the team had as they looked out on the crowd that gathered. The longer they played songs and gave testimonies the more people came to watch. When you look at this scene I want you to consider something. First of all this place was a Holy Spirit appointed time and location. Second, people changed the course of their eternal life in this town square. It looks like just a great tourist spot or cool picture to most but in reality it was much more. This place was a fork in the road in the lives of a couple of people that brought them into the Kingdom of God. One day you and I will see these people in heaven.
Thank you for your prayers and support to send us to this place to see people enter eternal life. It is a great feeling, isn't it.
PS: We did have another audience, perched on top of the roofs. They would fly from one building to the next; it was something to see.
