Women DON'T Understand Men

On Friday a friend of Connie and I sent me an email with a grouping of pictures titled, "WHY WOMEN LIVE LONGER THAN MEN!" Being a woman, she is unable to think these pictures through to the correct understanding that a man is able to. So, I thought I would enlighten her. The comments in blue by each pictures are mine. Let me know if you agree or not. Enjoy.

Standing on a bucket on TOP of a ladder, brilliant. He has a spotter, so what’s the problem.

That CAN'T be right. No Smoke, No Fire, No Problem.

Ummmm. at least someone's holding the ladder steady. FAKE Email junk Picture…..

Isn't this a violation of the seatbelt laws? They support the troops so they can’t be that bad.

Wonder what HE makes an hour? It can't be enough. Man has a helmet on.

Who needs a truck? Ingenious way around a wife who obviously won’t let the poor guy buy a truck.

I get by with a little help from my friends. OK I’ll give you this one but he probably got tried of hearing his wife yell about installing the air conditioner.

Oh yeah, THAT's safe! Rock beats paper and scissors

Hey, I strapped it down. FAKE Email junk Picture…..Real man would have just towed it home….

Hey, he has a special license to drive that truck. Apparently the man who is driving the truck also built the bridge and knows the weight limit.

No problem, I can see through the holes. OK, he is not driving the car he is just resting before he actually finishes the tie down procedure.

It starts at a young age and men just get worse. I think what you really see here is a man with a new saw and wants to try it out. The boy was just accommodating him by holding the chair still.

You hold it while I whack it with this hammer. A man’s skill at sledge hammering should not he made fun of.

A new OSHA approved substitute for ladders. FAKE Email junk Picture….. To do this properly you need three more buckets to form steps up to the top. Question: How many more bucket are needed to do this.

Ropes are for sissies. A man protecting his new investment – and a wife who will not let him buy a truck.

Kubota's new tractor mounted scaffolding. Obviously you have never had to move scaffolding before! Plus look at the balancing skill of both driver and worker. AWESOME.

Always follow traffic signs. Man-made sign for lady drivers.

All I wanna know is, HOW? Women drivers do the craziest things. And then try to say it was their husband.

Now I wanna know why Hay bales were already there, he was just working around the conditions.

I can cut it down AND load it in the truck! Another situation of man helping out a lady and getting blamed for the situation that he had nothing to do with in the first place.

Proverbs 17:22 ESV A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.
Proverbs 15:13 ESV A glad heart makes a cheerful face, but by sorrow of heart the spirit is crushed.

Be blessed my friends.

God is GOOD!

I have been re-reading a book. The tile is "Hell? Yes - and other outrageous truths you can believe" by Robert Jeffress.  In the chapter titled, "God is Ultimately Responsible for Suffering" he quotes one of my favorite writers, Max Lucado.  If you have not read any of Max Lucado's stuff then you need to.  It is awesome.

In this chapter the Robert Jeffress is talking about how God is a good God, one of kindness, compassion and love.  He then quotes Max.

"Probe deep within Him [God].  Explore every corner. Search every angle.  Love is all you find.  Go to the beginning of every decision He has made and you'll find it.  Go to the end of every story He has told you and you'll find it.
 Love.
No bitterness. No evil. No cruelty. Just love. Flawless love. Passionate love. Vast and pure love. He is love....
The same God who was mighty enough to carve out the canyon is tender enough to put hair on the legs of the Matterhorn Fly to keep it warm.  The same force that provides symmetry to the planets guides the baby kangaroo to its mother's pouch before the mother knows it is born."

I love the way Max writes and expresses truth about God in a way I can not.  God is love. Troubles come and goes but God is love.  He is looking out for your good and your success.  He has nothing evil on His mind about you.  The only things he thinks about is your success.

Jeremiah 29:11 NLT  For I know the plans I have for you," says the LORD. "They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.

On a day when I needed to stay home from work.  God spoke to me.  God is good.

One Hundred and Forty Feet Down

Good friends and missionaries to Germany, Gary and Gail, recently sent me their 2008 Spring newsletter. Gary has been traveling to Nigeria to minister to this nation. In his newsletter was this picture.

Here we see a Nigerian well-digger coming up after finding water at 140 feet--all dug by hand! My immediate response was I would not want to go 140 FEET DOWN in that hole. It looks cold, narrow and dangerous. As I looked at this picture I could just imagine the walls collapsing in on me, 140 feet down. But after I thought about it, I decided it would really depend on how thirsty I was.

Psa 42:1-2 NLT . . .As the deer longs for streams of water, so I long for You, O God. (2) I thirst for God, the living God. When can I go and stand before Him?

So often we find ourselves not pursuing God until we get really thirsty for Him. We think our money, houses, cars, bikes, movies, careers, etc - can satisfy our thirst. But in reality this thirst is a spiritual need which only God can truly quench. So my encouragement to you is to drink of the everlasting water of God, the only real thirst quencher. And by the way, don't wait until you are dying of thirst.

Joh 4:13-14 NLT Jesus replied, "Anyone who drinks this water will soon become thirsty again. (14) But those who drink the water I give will never be thirsty again. It becomes a fresh, bubbling spring within them, giving them eternal life."
